As a family therapist, Katherine brings a compassionate, open and direct approach to her work. She has extensive experience working with couples, families and individuals dealing with family violence, addiction, emerging from trauma, grief and loss, eating disorders, parenting and custody plans. Adoption is a specialty area where Katherine brings an insider’s perspective to help clients move through attachment difficulties. She also enjoys nurturing personal accountability in her clients. In this spirit, Katherine approaches all of her clients with a “stuck, not sick” philosophy.

Katherine views intimate relationships as the most important thing that we are a part of – the toughest and the best thing we will ever do and that is why she loves helping clients learn new skills and tools to achieve balance and peace in their relationships, both with themselves and with others.

Brainspotting with KatherineKatherine is also proud to offer Brainspotting with Katherine, a trauma-healing and performance therapy that helps clients quickly and has proven effective where other modes of therapy have failed. Brainspotting is a relatively new neurologically-based form of psychotherapy developed by David Grand, Ph.D., which he discovered as a result of his earlier work as an expert EMDR clinician. Katherine has been personally trained by Dr. Grand and is a member of his private supervision group. She is a Brainspotting Certified Consultant, an Approved Supervisor, and is a Trainer, bringing Brainspotting to ever more therapists and healing professionals in New England. Katherine is also a trauma-sensitive practitioner, receiving her Certificate from HeartMath. This model of support is a beautiful addition to the MFT and Brainspotting base of her practice.
